At Limonian+, we believe that beauty goes beyond appearance. We are committed not only to delivering quality products, but also to fulfilling our responsibilities to society and the environment. Following the devastating earthquakes in 2023, our employees and board members came together with a strong desire to support those affected by the disaster. This led to the founding of the Limonian+ Sustainability Team—a dedicated group focused on long-term impact. What started as a response to a crisis has since evolved into an ongoing mission to contribute to a better, more sustainable future.

Limonian+ develops and implements projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With financial support from our Board of Directors and the voluntary efforts of our team, we aim to create value for communities and help build a more sustainable world.

NO POVERTY

We provide ongoing support to earthquake survivors with the aim of strengthening the resilience of vulnerable individuals. Our efforts focus on reducing their exposure and vulnerability to economic, social, and environmental shocks and disasters.

ZERO HUNGER

To support small-scale food producers and help increase their productivity and income, we source employee meals from local food suppliers in Zonguldak.

GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

In collaboration with the Hepatitis Life Association, we carried out awareness activities as part of World Hepatitis Day on July 28. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, we partnered with the Breast Foundation (Meme Vakfı) to raise awareness by creating a special edition packaging design for our Bibimcos Houttuynia Toner. All proceeds from this product during the month of October were donated to the foundation.

QUALITY EDUCATION

We fully cover the cost of training programs requested by our employees to support their professional and personal development. In addition, our volunteer team regularly visits rural village schools where students have limited access to resources, providing educational materials and clothing support to help improve learning conditions.

GENDER EQUALITY

KWe are committed to maintaining a minimum 50% ratio of women in our workforce and currently have 54% female employees. Our aim is to support and strengthen women’s presence in both social and economic spheres. We also collaborate with women trainees from the Zonguldak Public Education Center to produce handmade items such as bracelets and hairbands. Sales operations of these products are managed by our team, and 100% of the proceeds are returned directly to the women who create them.

DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

To promote full and productive employment and decent work for all— including youth, women, and people with disabilities—our company actively supports the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in our workforce.

INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE

We promote innovative technologies and sustainable solutions in our product designs and partnerships with manufacturers, prioritizing eco-friendly packaging and production methods.

REDUCED INEQUALITIES

Our project development efforts related to reducing inequalities are currently in progress.

SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES

In 2022, we relocated our headquarters from Istanbul to Zonguldak. This move created new job opportunities in the region and supported local collaborations, contributing to the development of sustainable cities and communities.

We actively sort internal waste and have significantly increased our recycling and reuse rates as part of our responsible consumption and production approach.

Through our regular coastal cleanup activities, we aim to prevent marine pollution caused by land-based sources.

LIFE ON LAND

In collaboration with the Prof. Dr. İlhan Başgöz Culture and Guest House in Güre, Kazdağları, we supported the local community’s sustainable livelihood by providing olive saplings—an essential source of income for the region. Saplings were distributed to local residents, and one was ceremonially planted and watered by our volunteer team in the guest house garden.
